The Sand Skimmer was developed over 20 years ago by Morrish Engineering and is used by the majority of Water Companies throughout the United Kingdom.

The system will clean their slow sand filter beds. A thin layer of dirty sand is removed by the skimmer from the surface of the filter bed by a blade and auger head system then elevated to a following dumper truck for disposal. By removing the auger head and elevater the tracked base unit can be fitted with optional Bulldozer blade that can be fitted with an optional laser levelling system.
